Author Guidelines

Contemporary Research Analysis Journal (CRAJ) welcomes submissions from researchers and professionals across diverse fields. These guidelines ensure your manuscript meets our standards for publication. Follow the formatting and submission requirements to facilitate a smooth review process.

Manuscript Types

CRAJ accepts the following manuscript types:

  • Research Papers: 5,000–15000 words, 15–20 references.
  • Review Papers: No limit for invited reviews; 1,500–2,500 words, 15–25 references for standard reviews.
  • Technical Notes: Up to 1,000 words, 5–10 references, maximum 4 figures (e.g., surgical techniques, innovations).
  • Letters to the Editor: Refer to detailed guidelines on the CRAJ Submission Portal.
  • Case Reports: Up to 2,000 words, 10–15 references. Accepted only if offering new insights or perspectives on known diseases.

 

Criteria for Publication

Manuscripts should:

  • Be based on a sound hypothesis, robust methods, and statistically relevant results supporting clear conclusions.
  • Be written in clear, scientific English (British or American spelling, consistently).
  • Provide new, relevant information for CRAJ’s global readership.

 

Manuscript Structure

Structure your manuscript with each section on a separate page:

  • Title Page: Title (≤40 characters or include a short title), author names, institution, corresponding author’s contact (name, address, phone, fax, email), grants, optional 4–6 keywords.
  • Abstract: 200–250 words, continuous paragraph, no subheadings or abbreviations, covering introduction, methods, results, discussion, conclusion.
  • Main Text: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion.
  • Acknowledgments: Optional, for funding or contributions.
  • References: Any consistent citation style (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago).
  • Tables and Captions: Optional, list tables and figure captions separately.
  • Note: Exclude author qualifications and identifying details from the main text for double-blind review.

 

Formatting Guidelines

Follow these flexible standards:

  • Font: Times New Roman or Arial, 10pt.
  • Line Spacing: 1.5 or double-spaced.
  • File Format: Word (.docx) or PDF.

 

Section-Specific Guidance

Introduction (Present Tense)

  • State the problem, review literature, explain rationale, purpose, and method choice.

Materials and Methods (Past Tense)

  • Detail specifications, quantities, generic names; include statistical methods; avoid results.

Results (Past Tense)

  • Present findings, use tables sparingly, avoid method descriptions.

Discussion (Present Tense)

  • Discuss results, note exceptions, compare with prior work, state implications and conclusions.

Figures and Tables

  • Format: Ensure clarity (e.g., .jpg, .png for figures; tables in text).
  • Captions: Below figures, above tables, listed separately.
  • References: Cite in text (e.g., “See Figure 1”).

Statistical Analysis

  • Specify statistical tests, descriptive statistics, critical value, degrees of freedom, and significance level (e.g., t(28) = 2.15, p < 0.05).

Double-Blind Peer Review

  • Exclude identifying details (e.g., author names, institution) from the manuscript.
  • Include author information in the title page or cover letter.

  • Step 1: Online Submisison at the CRAJ Submission Portal.
  • Step 2: Upload your manuscript (and optional title page/cover letter) as a single file or separately.
  • Step 3: Submit and receive a confirmation email.
